So long Dame Liz Taylor

The Dame Elizabeth Taylor, owner one of the most beautiful violet eyes, a voluptuous neckline, and a huge collection of jewelry, passed away past Monday morning. Elizabeth was known for her dramatic personal life, her eight marriages, extensive media exposure and a love for grandiose jewelry.
One of my favorite pictures of Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Avedon, 1964

Picture is the cover of her jewelry book

"Big girls need big diamonds"

The most famous of all her husband's was the actor Richard Burton, the love of her life who she married twice.

"What do you expect me to do? Sleep alone?"

She wasn't a fashion icon, however she went to the fashion spotlight with the strapless white gown covered in daisies Edith Head designed for Taylor in 1951's in A Place in the Sun.

Her wardrobe also became very popular in a Hot Tin Roof where she wore a white dress that was licensed by its costume designer, Helen Rose.
In the movie Cleopatra,

I am feeling a little white

I am feeling a little white this season as I am seeing lot’s of white throughout the spring 2011 collections. The white was shown by different designers and it was seen in many forms and styles. The white trend was modified by each designer adding newness and flavour to the old summer white. Dolce & Gabanna has shown a romantic collection with lots of sheer lace and Calvin Klein, Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, Doo.ri and BCBG brought the white to the runway in a modern and minimalist style.
I have put together a board on how to accessorize the white outfits. The biggest trend is white on white, however I also love to accessorize white with neutrals for a more casual look as seen on Michael Kors runway. If you choose to add pop colours to the basic white it adds a fun twist to your outfit. I hope you like it!

Havaianas by Missoni

The Brazilian brand Havaianas- one of the most popular names in summer sandals - closed a deal with the Italian house Missoni to design a limited edition for the 2011 summer collection.
Missoni is a leader in fashion knitwear and it is known for using bold and graphic patterns. Havaianas couldn’t have chosen a better brand to design their ‘couture’ collection. The new styles bring Missoni’s signature tribal pattern in a multi coloured print with black as the background. There are 3 styles of sandals available as well as a flat espadrilles style.
The new collection will be launched in Brazil on April 25th. I want one!!!!!
